Back to Hogwarts September 2024

Sept 1st — Back to Hogwarts day — has become a global fandom celebration of epic proportions! We’re doin’ a full month because of stinky Muggleworks.

 

5:30am EST, Sara and I awoke to a Live Harry Potter YouTube channel event. British Muggles canceled the King’s Cross, UK countdown - we Potterheads ‘disturbed’ their morning commute. Instead, at 11am a Back to Hogwarts celebration in New York City at the Grand Central station took over! I hope this becomes a NYC thing now.

We had a little setup going for our TV time. Sara’s HP trunk from the New York Store was the showstopper this year! I’m contemplating getting my own since what I have now looks more like Newt Scamander’s briefcase. 

An unnecessary ‘just because I’m a Muggle’ warehouse store trip ate my September afternoon. But before I was rudely abducted Sara and I did Butterbeer Cheers - magical ritual 2024 with the New York Store’s bottled Butterbeer. The clank of the glass bottle with the souvenir mug from the Wizarding World, the fizz and the pour (don’t forget to catch the ASMR on Sara’s reel) were loud enough to muffle the Muggle nonsense for the day.

The Magical Me Wizarding Adventures Board (deets later) is set! I’m also sporting my new Hogwarts Letter themed backpack (Walmart) through September, coupled with the bottle buddy (Barnes & Noble). Yes! For us it’s Back to Hogwarts September! We have stretched our daring magical celebrations. Can’t wait to share more …
