Down the Potterific Penseive

I’m taking a dive into the magic that rolled in July! Lil Sis bias aside, Potterific July is the most fun photo challenge on the Gram! It’s the daily interactive stories loaded with escape scenarios, polls, & hilarious game plays! The day ends with Sara, the magical hostess, sharing participants’ photos, & discussing what everyone replied in the polls and questions.
Potterific’s 7th year was joined by hundreds from the Pottergram to enjoy the comical shenanigans that set the challenge apart! So many new profiles with such amazing collections, crafts, and photography skills.
This year’s polls asked the most thought provoking questions of the Wizarding World and characters. I got to spend a weekend at the Burrow, travel the Knight Bus, visit Hagrid’s for tea, venture down Newt’s briefcase, design Horcruxes for Voldy and so much more! The interactive plays included the usual hilarity of “Pin the nose on Voldy” and catching pixies, and then went on to have me throw dung bombs in Umbridge’s office and then destroy her with the Weasleys! I designed Hagrid’s own TV show episode, guessed Snape’s Muggle life profession (a fashion designer!), gifted an iPhone to Mr Weasley, designed a new Quidditch ball, and made Harry a birthday card! Yes! ALL that magic was happening in Potterific July!
Coming from someone who’s SEEN @saraallie work on Potterific ••• She is phenomenal! The pre planning of prompts is a highly creative process. This year we saw dialogues as prompts “Beds Empty No Note”. She invests time in getting to know the participants, yes she knows you!, engages in conversations with them on Potterific Chats, and curates an entire day’s fun with each prompt.
So much is unquestionably unique to Potterific! The sliders you slide, the emojis you click, the speech bubbles, the fonts, the creative layout! And it’s just genius to me how she stirs the magic through the entire month! I feel like reminiscing all August writing about the fun activities and creative ideas I came up with during Potterific. It will be the perfect way to transition into Back to Hogwarts mood for September!
